2024 is the first year for the ACRS Excellence in Road Safety Award. Submissions are sought from road safety professionals, practitioners and/or organisations throughout Australia and New Zealand.
This award has been created to recognise a successful road safety project delivered within Australia or New Zealand. The project submission will demonstrate a road safety project that has used safe system-aligned thinking to deliver a practical and cost-effective approach to resolve or address a road safety issue. The project will demonstrate innovation and have addressed systematic and societal factors that contribute to road trauma.

Award Criteria
To make a submission for this award, the project team must include a member of the Australasian College of Road Safety (ACRS).
Submissions must demonstrate:
- How project resolves or addresses an issue
- Innovative thinking
- How project addresses systematic and societal factors that
contribute to road trauma? - How easily can project be replicated for use in other areas or
by other jurisdictions? - What are key elements that contribute to the success of the
project? - Project budget and cost effectiveness
- Benefits / positive impacts to road safety
- Evidence of project evaluation
Submission Procedure
Submission is to be made through the online form completed by a current ACRS member.
