The ACRS Young Leaders Oration Award was first awarded in 2019. Nominations are sought from road safety professionals throughout Australia, New Zealand and the Pacific.
Winners receive a prestigious ACRS trophy in recognition of their achievements, plus the opportunity to deliver the Prasannah Prabhakharan* Oration at the Australasian Road Safety Conference (ARSC). The Oration is a plenary presentation of the winner’s choosing, delivered to hundreds of professionals in the road safety field, at the ARSC.
* The Oration has been renamed in memory of Dr Prasannah Prabhakharan, the 2024 Young Leaders Oration Award winner who tragically died on 31 January 2025.
