ACRS Excellence in Road Safety Award

The submission period for the 2025 ACRS Awards is open from Monday 12 May 2025 to 5:00pm (AEST) Friday 20 June 2025.

The ACRS Excellence in Road Safety Award – established in 2024 – recognises outstanding projects that demonstrate innovation, impact, and leadership in improving road safety anywhere in the world. This prestigious award celebrates initiatives that address key road safety challenges through evidence-based, scalable, and cost-effective approaches.

Open to multidisciplinary teams from any sector, nominated projects must tackle significant road safety issues and demonstrate measurable impact. Submissions are assessed on their contribution to reducing road trauma, potential for replication in other contexts, and their consideration of broader systemic, societal, environmental, and governance factors.

Winning projects exemplify how collaborative, strategic efforts can lead to safer roads for all users, and highlight the value of informed, research-driven action in road safety. At least one team member must be a current ACRS member at the time of entry.
