Active transport offers significant benefits for health, safety, sustainability, and community wellbeing, yet women often experience transport systems differently and face unique barriers to walking, cycling, and other forms of active travel. At the same time, women are making important contributions as researchers, planners, policymakers, advocates, and leaders working to create more inclusive and accessible transport systems.
