The next ACRS Sunshine Coast Sub-Chapter seminar will be held at the University of the Sunshine Coast Sippy Downs campus, room IC.G.48 on Wednesday the 17th of May, with a 12:30pm start in person and 1 pm start over zoom. David Upperdine and Stuart Gardner from the Department of Transport and Main Roads will be presenting on the use of an instrumented motorcycle to take a rider-centric approach to improve road safety outcomes.

Motorcycle riding remains a higher risk activity than using any other motor vehicle. As the number of motorcyclists have increased so too has the number of motorcyclists involved in fatal or injury causing crashes. SEQN TMR Road Safety through the use of an instrumented motorcycle aims to take a rider-centric approach to improve road safety outcomes. The use of the instrumented motorcycle enables a better understanding of any road related issues encountered by this user group and this helps to promotes greater empathy within the motorcycle community.

If you plan an attending in person, please RSVP by the 11th of May for catering.
