About the speaker: Andrew Hillier has been in the Ambulance industry since 1991 and is a registered Paramedic with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA). He has worked for SA Ambulance Service (SAAS) since 2000 and previously worked for 9 years in a UK Ambulance Service. He is currently the Manager Operational Driving with responsibility across the State for SA Ambulance driver training, investigating and reviewing driving related matters, development of policy / procedures and driver training programmes. In 2017 Andrew was awarded the Ambulance Service Medal (ASM) in the Australia Day Honours in recognition of the contribution to road safety within SAAS. In 2021 Andrew helped create the Collaboration for Ambulance Driver Development Australasia in an effort to develop some safe standards and increase cross communication in the emergency driving industry.
