The Australasian College of Road Safety is launching a new network for Local Government Road Safety Practitioners. It will kick off with an inaugural webinar exploring and celebrating road safety strategic planning.

The webinar will be a chance to:

  • Hear about road safety strategic plans from multiple jurisdictions – QLD, NSW, VIC, and WA.
  • Compare and contrast how the plans were developed, what they cover and tips for success.
  • Understand why road safety strategic planning is an important council function.
  • Speakers are from Gold Coast City Council, Eurobodalla Shire Council, Mornington Peninsula Shire Council and Western Australia Local Government Association.

The webinar will also discuss the formation of the Local Government Road Safety Practitioners network. The network allows members to:

  • Hear about what councils from across the country are doing in relation to road safety.
  • Discuss what works and what doesn’t in relation to local road safety initiatives.
  • Explore how different councils approach road safety.
  • Connect with like-minded professionals.
  • Share ideas and resources.
  • Hold more webinars on topics of interest.
