Parliamentary Friends Event – 2025

The Australasian College of Road Safety (ACRS) invite members of the ACT Chapter to attend a Parliamentary Friends of Road Safety afternoon tea next Tuesday 11 February from 3:30pm to 5:00pm at Parliament House, Canberra.

With road trauma numbers having increased for 4 years in a row, it’s vital that we take action to turn this around and save lives. Road trauma is preventable.

Come along to hear from the ACRS experts including Dr John Crozier, Professor Narelle Haworth, and CEO Dr Ingrid Johnston, about what the Australian Parliament can do in the next term to prevent more people from dying or being seriously injured on our roads. Areas of discussion will be:

  • Current status of road safety
  • What we can do about it – in new housing developments, investigating crashes, designing safer roads, improving vehicle standards, empowering the Parliament and improving road safety in our region
  • How the ACRS can help in your electorate
