Learn More About the ACRS

The Australasian College of Road Safety is the region’s peak membership association for road safety with a vision of eliminating death and serious injury on the road.

We have a set of policy principles which underpin the positions taken by the ACRS on policy in road safety. They draw inspiration from good practice in the safest countries and the safest industries, are designed to provide an overview of our fundamental values and are the foundation of our advocacy work.

You can learn about our Policy Principles here.

ACRS policy position statements are designed to provide a concise overview of a road safety policy issue, the principles underpinning the ACRS position on that issue, and an evidence base for the recommended policy actions. The suite of policy position statements will grow over time, and each will be reviewed and updated on a 3 yearly cycle to ensure they remain current and relevant.

ACRS is passionate about making change so we regularly write submissions on road safety. Keep an eye on the Weekly Alert for announcements on new submissions that members can contribute to.
