ACRS NSW Chapter, hosts of the 2026 Australasian Road Safety Conference, is serving up three presentations covering a variety of road safety topics. Like any good buffet, there is something for everyone, including a side of questions and an update on #2026ARSC for dessert.

Presentations:

  • A novel, web-based approach to reducing phone use among young drivers: The induced hypocrisy paradigm – Dr Cassandra Gauld, Lecturer, School of Social Science, University of Newcastle, and ACRS NSW Chapter Committee member
  • The NSW age-based licensing system: opinions from older drivers, their families and caregivers, and stakeholders – Dr Helen Nguyen, Research Fellow, Injury, The George Institute for Global Health, and ACRS NSW Chapter Committee member
  • NSW Speed Zoning Standard and speed zone setting – Mr Tony Nguyen, Senior Manager Safer Roads & Speed, Transport Safety, Policy, Environment and Regulation, Transport for NSW

If you’re still hungry for road safety after an hour, you can come back to Sydney in October for more!
