The Evaluation Module I: Introduction to Evaluation in Road Safety , a short course offered by CARRS-Q, aims to provide delegates with the fundamental principles and best practices relevant to road safety evaluation. Delegates will gain a firm understanding of a variety of critical issues involved in designing and conducting a qualitative or quantitative study and the pros and cons of some commonly used research methods. These skills will enable delegates to conduct basic evaluation, select suitable research consultants and assess evaluation reports.
This module can be coupled with Evaluation Module II: Analytical Techniques in Road Safety Evaluation. Completion of both modules, plus the successful completion of formal assessment will enable participants to receive credit towards QUT’s PYP405: Road Safety Evaluation Models Unit.
Delegates will be issued a Certificate of Attendance.
Those delegates interested in having the course credited for the PYP405: Road Safety Evaluation Models Unit offered by QUT will need to complete a formal assessment and a second short course, Road Safety Evaluation Models II: Analytical Techniques in Road Safety Evaluation which will be conducted after this course.
